Sustainability is the pattern of living that protects the Earth and help define a quality of life that the Earth is able to provide. A sustainable world requires individual and collective action in both local and global communities.

We are devoted to, and inspired by, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). In our way of doing business, we have identified four SDG’s that we strive to meet on.

Sustainable Development Goal 1, 5 and 8
The production of the baskets help create and maintain jobs, it creates economic growth and increases gender equality in Northern Ghana.

The weaving of the baskets is primarily carried out by women. It can be a challenge for women in rural Ghana to find work and make a living, as they are still seen as the homemaker, but weaving baskets can be done anywhere and anytime. The money earned from weaving baskets enable the women to buy food and other necessities for the home, as well as paying for the children’s schooling, which enable the women to lift a whole community and create prosperity for future generations.

Sustainable Development Goal 12
Creating high quality products that can be reused and loved by generations to come is our dream.
Our baskets and mattresses are made from 100% natural and organic materials which are sustainable for the environment and good for our customers.

In addition to our commitment to do our part in promoting the SDG’s, we have decided to focus our sustainability work using the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The United Nations Human Rights Council endorsed this guideline and we believe that it provides clarity on how to conduct a responsible and sustainable business.

We strive not to induce any negative impact on human rights while we at the same time try to support human rights in our value chain.

We are currently working on our first due diligence report, and will make it available on this website as soon as possible.
